Hello everyone! Sorry it took me so long to write. I opened up my shop and have been very busy making clothes. It's still Bridal season and the gowns are so big, I may need more space! Anyway, I also made part of my shop a boutique where I'm able to sell jewelry and accessories. Check out my fan page on facebook. Go on to my website: www.susanperrone.com, click on contact us and there is a link for facebook. Please like me! It's new and I will be posting updates as I go along. There are pictures of my shop and some of the items that I feature.
I'm currently working on a beautiful jade green silk charmeuse gown with a lace jacket for a Mother of the Bride for an August wedding. I should have that completed by next week. This is only one item in the list of things to do, but is my favorite.

The time has come for the Grand Opening of my new store!
Come in on Saturday, March 26TH from 1 to 5 p.m. and see all the beautiful dresses and accessories. I also have beautiful pieces of jewelry from Mariell for sale.
There will be refreshments and I will be giving away some jewelry pieces to lucky winners.
Maybe you would like to think about having a custom garment made to your measurements.

I would love to see you!

My new shop address is : 32A Kinderkamack Road

My new store is coming along. I was just given the "CO" to operate business, but I still have so many things to do. I'm waiting for my new awning to be put up, and if all goes well, I should have the "Grand Opening" in a couple of weeks. It is going to be a boutique and a custom dressmaking studio. I decorated it in Tuscany style for the boutique part, and in the back room I have my equipment for dressmaking. I can't wait to get started! I'll keep you posted.

Hello everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted anything in for a long time, but that is because I am in the process of opening up a new shop in Oradell, N.J. As soon as the Holidays were over I came across a nice space which happened to be down the street from my old location. Since I wanted to be in the same area and it was convenient for all of my clients, I jumped in and rented it. So, with that being said, I've been getting permits and buying racks and supplies in the last month. But that is good news, because now once I'm settled, I will be sewing, sewing and sewing! More things to talk about and certainly much more solutions to clothing problems.
So, please be patient and keep watching for new information.

Happy New Year everyone! The Holidays were great but I'm glad that they are over and I can concentrate on a new year with exciting new challenges. I will be opening up a store once again in the very near future where I will be able to continue my dressmaking and also finally produce and sell my own line of clothing and accessories. The last couple of weeks have been very draining looking for space and hoping that what I choose will be right for my vision.
I bought the most amazing fabric yesterday and I can't wait to sew with it. It's a copper lace of leaves that are tiny copper sequins. Very elegant and will go nicely with the silk of the same color underneath it. Fabrics are my inspiration. I plan to hang out at the fabric stores very often this month to get ready for the new spring season. So much to do! :)

I still haven't been able to get to NYC to check out the new fabrics, but I'm hoping to make a day trip while I'm in seeing the tree at Rockefeller Center. Within the last couple of weeks, I was looking for a black Chantilly lace locally to duplicate a dress I saw on the Internet. I've managed to find a couple of patterns, but they really weren't right for this dress. There is no place for fabric like 40Th street in Manhattan! I did however make this dress and it turned out beautifully, but I'm still on the hunt for the right lace. I've been altering holiday clothes and I made a python skirt for a friend. Since it's cold outside, I love to stay home and sew all day.
Lace is everywhere in fashion and I love sewing with it, so my next few projects will consist of lace somewhere. I will keep you posted. :)

Well, I was fabric shopping yesterday and I bought some nice things. First I bought a beautiful forest green lace and charmeuse to make a dress for the holidays. I also found a winter print and camel suede cloth to make some separates. I'll be designing most of the day today since it's raining out and is a great day to stay inside. Honestly, I could stay inside a fabric store all day. My mind wanders and I wish I could just snap my fingers and have all these wonderful creations done. I'm hoping to have a chance to go to Manhattan and check out the new innovative fabrics next week.
I could actually live on 40Th street.
Happy sewing!
